Editorials

Editorials introduce each issue of AIDASCO Reviews and are typically written by members of the journal’s editorial team. These articles provide context for the issue, highlight its key themes, and often reflect on broader trends in science, education, and international collaboration within the AIDASCO community.

In the case of Special Issues, editorials may also be authored by guest editors or representatives of institutions that have organized or supported the special edition. Such editorials present the overarching vision behind the collection, outline its thematic focus, and emphasize the importance of the featured works within their scientific or educational context. They also serve to acknowledge the contributions of the collaborating institution and its role in fostering the values of open science, mentorship, and academic cooperation promoted by AIDASCO.

Overall, editorials serve as guiding narratives for each issue, inviting readers to explore its content through a shared lens of curiosity, inclusiveness, and dedication to advancing science and education.

Short articles

Short Articles are concise, engaging pieces that highlight captivating topics connected to science, research, education, and their broader societal impact. They provide clear and accessible insights into emerging ideas or discoveries, aiming to inspire curiosity, promote learning, and stimulate discussion among readers.

Written in an approachable and lively style, Short Articles often explore the intersection of science with everyday life, encouraging readers to recognize how scientific thinking shapes our understanding of the world.

This section is also ideal for individuals with limited experience in scientific writing or those not directly involved in research or education, but who have valuable perspectives to share. Authors may include teachers, professionals from other disciplines, science communicators, or enthusiasts who wish to contribute thoughtful reflections, stories, or experiences that connect to AIDASCO’s core themes of science, learning, and collaboration.

By lowering barriers to participation, Short Articles serve as a welcoming entry point for aspiring authors who want to engage with the scientific community and communicate ideas that bridge expertise and experience.

Debut articles

Debut Articles are contributions from individuals in the early stages of their academic, educational, or professional journeys, those who may have little or no prior experience in research or scientific publishing. This includes students at all levels (primary, secondary, undergraduate, and graduate), PhD candidates, as well as individuals beginning their careers in academia or industry without previous publication experience.

At AIDASCO Reviews, we recognize that opportunities for this group to share their work are often limited. Therefore, we dedicate special attention to their submissions, offering guidance and encouragement throughout the publishing process. Each Debut Article must be prepared under the mentorship of an established professional who provides scientific, editorial, and ethical guidance.

If prospective authors do not yet have a mentor, they are welcome to contact the AIDASCO Reviews office to explore whether AIDASCO can connect them with a suitable mentor from among its members.

Debut Articles hold a special place in the mission of AIDASCO Reviews. We believe that direct participation in scientific writing and publishing not only nurtures research skills but also fosters critical thinking, decision-making, creativity, and leadership among young people. Through mentorship and collaboration, we aim to empower the next generation of scientists, educators, and innovators to confidently take part in the global scientific dialogue.

We warmly encourage students and young professionals to consider submitting their first work to this section and to begin their journey in scientific publishing with AIDASCO Reviews.

Reports and Promotions

Reports and Promotions (REPRO) Articles cover a diverse range of content that holds significance for both the academic and scientific communities. These contributions inform readers about noteworthy events, institutions, study programs, companies, conferences, research projects, workshops, and other initiatives that advance science, education, and innovation.

REPRO articles serve a dual purpose:

  • they report on achievements, milestones, or developments of academic or professional relevance; and

  • they promote valuable initiatives, institutions, or collaborations that contribute to the growth and visibility of scientific and educational activities.

Through clear and objective presentation, REPRO Articles aim to disseminate knowledge, highlight impact, and strengthen connections between academia, industry, and society. They play a vital role in sharing updates, success stories, and opportunities that reflect AIDASCO’s mission of fostering open communication, international collaboration, and public engagement in science.

Science Outreach Articles

Science Outreach Articles are engaging, reader-friendly pieces designed to communicate scientific ideas, discoveries, and their broader societal relevance to a wide audience, with a particular emphasis on young readers and learners. These articles use clear, vivid, and inclusive language to make complex concepts understandable, relatable, and inspiring.

They may explore a broad range of topics, including recent scientific advances, remarkable natural phenomena, profiles of scientists and innovators, science education initiatives, or hands-on experiments and activities that encourage curiosity and participation. Each article aims to present science not as something distant or intimidating, but as an exciting and creative human endeavor that shapes our everyday lives.

Science Outreach Articles serve as an essential bridge between the scientific community and the public, fostering awareness, understanding, and appreciation of science from an early age. They embody AIDASCO’s commitment to promoting scientific literacy, supporting educators, and inspiring the next generation to explore, question, and innovate.

Research Articles

Research Articles are scholarly papers that present the results of an original study or investigation conducted by the authors. They follow a structured scientific format (typically including an abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusions) to ensure clarity, transparency, and reproducibility.

These articles provide comprehensive information about the research question, the methods and tools employed, the data collected, and the analysis performed. They contribute new knowledge, insights, or experimental findings to a specific area of study and undergo a rigorous peer-review process to maintain scientific quality, credibility, and integrity.

Within AIDASCO Reviews, Research Articles also reflect the journal’s emphasis on collaborative, interdisciplinary, and educationally valuable research. Submissions that connect experimental and computational approaches, promote open science principles, or demonstrate strong mentoring and student involvement are particularly encouraged.

By sharing validated and verifiable findings, Research Articles form the foundation of scientific progress and serve as a primary reference for researchers, educators, and professionals in advancing their respective fields.

Review articles

Review Articles are comprehensive and critical evaluations of specific scientific or educational topics, authored by established professionals and experts in their respective fields. These articles synthesize existing knowledge and research findings to provide an integrated and up-to-date perspective on a defined subject or phenomenon.

A strong Review Article not only summarizes the current state of knowledge but also critically analyzes methodologies, compares interpretations, and identifies trends, gaps, and challenges within the field. By combining insights from the authors’ own research with those of other scientists, these articles help readers navigate complex topics and understand the broader scientific landscape.

At AIDASCO Reviews, Review Articles are valued for their educational depth and clarity, as they often serve as both learning resources and references for future studies. Authors are encouraged to adopt an interdisciplinary approach and to emphasize the relevance of their topic to science, education, and society.

Professional Articles

Professional Articles are advanced scholarly contributions written by experts, researchers, and practitioners for an audience of fellow professionals, academics, and specialists. They present research findings, methodologies, case studies, and detailed analyses within a defined scientific or technical discipline, offering insights that deepen understanding and stimulate professional discussion.

These articles are characterized by their methodological rigor, depth of analysis, and direct relevance to specialized audiences. They often focus on recent developments, applied research, or innovative practices that expand the frontiers of knowledge within a specific area.

At AIDASCO Reviews, Professional Articles are valued not only for advancing domain-specific expertise but also for fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and connecting theory with practice. They provide a trusted platform for experts to exchange ideas, share results, and build bridges between academia, research institutions, and industry.

Interviews

Interview Articles feature conversations with individuals or groups whose work holds significance in the academic, scientific, or educational context. These pieces provide readers with personal insights, professional experiences, and reflections that reveal the human dimension of science and scholarship.

Through well-structured discussions, interviews may highlight research achievements, educational initiatives, innovative projects, or career journeys, offering valuable perspectives on the challenges and inspirations behind scientific and academic progress.

At AIDASCO Reviews, interviews serve as a connection between science and storytelling, allowing readers to connect with the people shaping discoveries, ideas, and educational impact across disciplines.

Conference Reflections

Conference Reflections publishes reflective contributions arising from specific scientific conferences, workshops, or academic events. Articles in this section are not intended to follow the structure of traditional conference proceedings or research papers, but instead provide personal, educational, and professional perspectives on the scientific experience, learning outcomes, and networking opportunities associated with a particular event.

This section is dedicated to contributions authored primarily by students and early-career researchers, highlighting their engagement with scientific content, mentorship, international collaboration, and professional development. Submissions typically focus on individual or collective experiences, innovative formats of knowledge exchange, and the broader impact of conferences on academic growth and regional or international cooperation.

Each contribution published under Conference Reflections is linked to a specific event, which is identified through the assigned Category (e.g., CONNECT 2025). In this way, the section defines the type of article, while the category specifies the conference or event to which the reflection relates.
